The objective of this project was to design for a cause. I was tasked with finding a cause that I am passionate about and use design tools to help that cause in some fashion. Hearing loss in teenagers and young adults is one of the few things that I am passionate about.
The research question that I chose to pursue was, “How can design bring awareness to hearing loss in high school band students?” I created a three-panel poster, an educational pamphlet, and a case study with all my research findings. My goal was to educate students, parents, teachers, and school administrators about the dangers of hearing loss in band students.
